A Rural Outpost

Argal Home Farm Workshop

We’re extremely excited to launch this new site & hope you enjoy browsing the work; old & new. You won’t have heard from us for a little while now and we have lots of news: it’s been a hive of activity here with the development of our studios & workshop in Cornwall, some bespoke projects & two new ‘off the peg’ products to share with you.

In this first post we’d like to introduce you to the project that has been keeping us very busy since you last heard from us: Argal Home Farm Studios. The many benefits of sharing a working environment & collaborating with other creative practices have always been crystal clear. We’ve also keenly felt the positive influence of having the space, time & inspiration offered by living & working in a rural location. It’s with these two ideas in mind that we’ve been developing a Cornish farmstead, Argal Home Farm, into a centre for contemporary creative practice.

We’ll be offering studio, office & workshop spaces for a number of like-minded practices to work alongside each other in the beautiful Cornish countryside. We’ve been incredibly lucky to already have had a rich array of enterprises at the farm with some hardy souls who’ve even been suffering the winters in our as yet unconverted barn. After two years of design & planning we are now at the stage of beginning construction work & hope to begin moving into some of our new spaces towards the middle of next year. As the project develops we look forward to keeping you up to date with progress here and we’ll also be featuring our creative residents and their practices to give you a good picture of life here at Argal.
